DEVELOPMENT OF TESTS AND TESTING EQUIPMENT FOR FURNITURE QUALITY ASSURANCE
Testing is essential for quality assurance of furniture. All furniture manufacturers need to perform durability, ergonomics and balance tests that meets international quality assurance and testing standards in order to prove their products’ quality standard. However, testing equipment and test procedures can only be obtained from abroad. In this project, Bürosit R&D Center embarked on developing ergonomics, durability and balance tests and testing equipment that conforms to international standards with the TUBITAK-1501 grant in Turkey.
With this project, we aim the following: reduction of testing and accreditation expenses, acceleration of prototype production and validation processes, specialization in developing test procedures and testing equipment; obviation of intellectual property rights vulnerability that stem from testing prototypes in third party laboratories; and elimination of the possibility of knock offs.
